Overview
Dana Farber's Lung Genomic Research Consortium's mission is to transform our understanding of chronic lung diseases using advanced genomic technologies. Because they rely on government funding, it is critical that they remain relevant and topical with government officials and the broader research community. The goal was to create a brand identity and Web experience that aligned the LGRC with leading research communities throughout the world. The LGRC has a compelling story to tell and they needed a platform to tell that story. In addition, they wanted to provide a simple, educational introduction into the LGRC that could be easily digested by the non-scientific community.
Solution
The LGRC has a compelling story to tell and they needed a platform to tell that story. The approach was to develop a progressive, friendly design that reflects the LGRC's optimism in developing cures for lung disease. We developed a simple architecture that guides visitors and anticipates their overarching questions about the LGRC. We made the design clean and warm to convey the sense of optimism they share in developing cures for lung disease. Acsys conducted video interviews of LGRC's leaders and symposiums then created a YouTube channel for the increasing inventory of video material being developed by consortium members.
