Acsys Interactive Launches SiteManager 1.3 Upgrade.
03.01.09 On March 1, Acsys Interactive launched 32 key enhancements, improvements and modifications to its award-winning product suite, SiteManager. Current clients were afforded transparent and seamless access to the new features, which address all 12 SiteManager product lines, upon arrival at their places of work on the Monday morning following the launch. This group release, coined Version 1.3, represents the most comprehensive product development and deployment effort in Acsys Interactive's history, and underscores the company's unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.
Last fall, Acsys Interactive embarked on an ambitious mission to visit existing SiteManager product clients and solicit feedback on everything from usage habits to interface efficiency. Months later, the company took the comments, notes and suggestions and formulated a strategic plan to design and develop improvements that would better satisfy client requirements and optimize product use. The majority of the 32 product updates released on March 1 were developed in direct response to the client data collected during this social blitz.
"Our clients have spoken - and we have listened!" declared Kurt Swanke, Acsys Interactive's VP of Product Strategy and Development. "Acsys Interactive was honored that our savvy clients took the time to share their constructive criticisms with us. Only with their voiced insight could we alleviate any frustration points and deliver new product features that would make their everyday business processes more streamlined and their work procedures more intuitive."
Of the 32 recent product updates, 21 were driven by enhancement requests from clients, and 11 were outgrowths of internal quality improvement efforts. Among the most impactful of the new features is "in line" text editing for the HotSpots, NewsManager, and SmartLists products. With this enhanced capability, users can easily make changes to live websites through editing tools that are accessible through a simple right click of the mouse. This technological advancement eliminates the need to launch the SiteManager admininstration utility in order to make changes. Users are automatically transferred from the website to the corresponding tool's administration page when certain content needs updating or editing, greatly accelerating the process by which real-time information can be communicated.
Few of Acsys Interactive's competitors offer a solutions package like SiteManager. The 12 symbiotic products that comprise the suite are geared toward marketing professionals with a need to exchange information and correspond with a disparate customer base. Under unlimited licensing contracts, clients have round-the-clock access to their SiteManager application tools, as well as to on-demand training and advice from the experts who created - and themselves use - the award-winning products.
Swanke knows first-hand just how invaluable the SiteManager product suite can be to a user when its function is fully in tune with the operational needs of the client organization. When he joined Acsys Interactive full time in 2008, he brought the unique perspective of a former client to the upper echelons of product management. As an ardent advocate and frequent user of SiteManager solutions in his previous role as Senior Director of Marketing and product management at CT TyMetrix, Swanke had employed the whole gamut of Acsys Interactive products to connect with customers through marketing initiatives, to analyze campaign results, and to react quickly with strategic modifications.
The VP of Product Strategy and Development is determined that the current enhancement launch will not lead to complacency nor stymie efforts to improve the SiteManager product suite even further. Reinforced by Acsys Interactive's relentless pursuit of improvement opportunities, solicitation of client feedback and user data continues to be a priority for Swanke. In fact, a program of regular client visits is now in the works and new forums for the exchange of product user feedback, like social networking sites, are being explored and beta tested.
"Acsys Interactive products exist to simplify complex, but essential, business processes for our clients. But to remain effective, the products must evolve in tandem with the ever-changing interactive computing environment of the 21 century," explains Swanke. "To keep the products relevant and useful, developments need to be based on a thorough understanding of client needs and wants - which is only achieved by persistent communication and contact with the product power users. Only then can we figure out ways to consistently deliver results that exceed client expectations."
