Acsys Interactive Strengthens World-Class Reputation with International Achievement Awards
01.01.09 The winners of the 2008 Davey Awards were recently announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), with Acsys Interactive taking seven medals for excellence in interactive media.
With over 4,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide. The gold and silver 2008 Davey Awards, bestowed for world-class work on the Timex, Halifax Health, Sikorsky and Mennonite Financial Federal Credit Union websites, underscore Acsys Interactive's continued creative and technological leadership in multiple market spaces.

The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the IAVA, a 200+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current IAVA membership represents a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including Sotheby's Institute of Art, Yahoo!, Wired, Insight Interactive, The Webby Awards, ADWEEK, Alloy, MTV, Myspace.com, and many others.
Acsys Interactive took home awards in three separate categories: five awards in consumer goods, one in health, and one in financial services. One gold medal was awarded for Acsys Interactive's design and launch of the new Sikorsky website. The website stood out among other consumer goods competitors for its rich media components. Sikorsky.com provides a dramatic presentation of Sikorsky's aircraft, offering a near-tactile experience, and giving a true sense of dimension that lets people feel as if they are almost standing next to the products. Flash and video feature prominently on the site and were positioned by Acsys Interactive to elevate the experience for visitors and create a highly engaging, memorable first impression.
Four silver consumer goods awards were given to Acsys Interactive for outstanding work on Timex websites, including those for the iControl, Expedition, Diamonds, and Sleek brands. Acsys Interactive's site designs do an exceptional job of leveraging and communicating the various Timex brands, as well as the beauty, functionality, and sleek features of the Timex product offerings. The websites are lauded by industry insiders and consumers alike for their highly interactive, simple, and fun to use interfaces.
Acsys Interactive's work was lauded with silver in the health category too. As a partner to Halifax Health in the strategy, design and launch of a website that would reflect a world-class health services organization, Acsys Interactive encouraged the incorporation of live streaming webcasts, and offered the dynamic functionality of a next-generation Physician Finder, interactive personas, advanced site search, and seamless third-party video content integration.
Yet another silver medal was collected by Acsys Interactive for the redesign and implementation of the Mennonite Financial Federal Credit Union financial website. Created with the objective of mirroring the overarching organization's branding and messaging, the new website meshes seamlessly with the extant Mennonite Mutual Aid online presence, and provides a superior consumer interactive experience.
