Acsys Provides SharePoint 2007 Expertise to Chemtura Corporation

Acsys, Inc. to assist Chemtura (www.chemtura.com) Corporation of Middlebury, Connecticut to accelerate internal collaboration and increase employee productivity through a Microsoft SharePoint 2007 initiative.

This initiative utilizes SharePoint Server 2007 open scalable architecture to provide a single integrated platform for enterprise collaboration. With improved collaboration and communication, Chemtura can shorten product development lifecycles and improve client satisfaction.

In an evolution of a multi-year relationship, Chemtura has partnered with Acsys to architect and design optimized SharePoint 2007 sites based upon employee requirements. Acsys' related services include gathering business requirements, drafting specifications, installation and configuration, developing custom pages and web parts, and implementing look and feel changes—as well as Information Architecture services to create a sitemap and selected site wireframes.

By using its experience with SharePoint Designer 2007 combined with its Information Architecture services, Acsys will customize and design Chemtura's SharePoint 2007 sites to offer maximum interactivity and functionality. Acsys helped Chemtura begin its transition to a collaborative business model with a previous SharePoint 2003 initiative. Acsys services will help Chemtura upgrade to SharePoint 2007 and benefit from features such as providing employee access to business data in SAP systems.

Acsys will also provide best practices such as recommendations for aligning departmental security with Active Directory group creation.
