Interactive Health Assessment Project Begins for Blue Cross Subsidiary.

01.06.05 Acsys is currently working with the Providence-based Health & Wellness Institute, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) to build an online health information resource Web site.  Health & Wellness Institute will market the site to BCBSRI health plan members beginning in the second quarter of 2005.

The focal point of the site is a one hundred question interactive Personal Health Assessment (PHA), which will help visitors to identify and correct unhealthy behaviors.  The PHA will utilize state of the art database technology and security controls to provide customization capabilities and security controls to deliver reports directly to individual plan members and their employers.  Users' health and wellness scores will be based on eight dimensions of health, and each user will receive a comprehensive, personalized PHA report aimed at increasing awareness, reinforcing healthy behaviors, and facilitating action. Aggregate data will help employers to optimize their healthcare budgets.
