Acsys, Inc. Delivers Interactive CD-ROM for National Roll-Out of HTH Pools Point-of-Sale Consumer Marketing Initiative

Acsys, Inc., a full service consulting firm that helps organizations achieve their business goals using Web technologies, today announced the completion of an interactive CD-ROM developed for Atlanta-based pool care product manufacturer Arch HTH for use as part of a point-of-sale marketing initiative being distributed through Home Depot stores nationwide.  In order to meet the summer pool season, Acsys' Interactive Design Services team had four weeks to bring the Arch HTH brand online and was responsible for the design, interface, usability and branding of a CD-ROM entitled "Pool Tools."  To accommodate the client's timetable and budget goals, the Acsys team quickly developed the concept of a pool supply wizard, which allows users to determine the type and quantity of supplies they need based on the specific dimensions and other attributes of their pools.  The creative team then developed and produced the finished CD-ROM, including packaging.

"We had limited time and budget to create a point-of purchase vehicle to raise brand awareness among consumers, differentiate our products and drive sales.  Acsys was able to meet our deadline and exceed our expectations," said James Miller of Arch Chemicals, HTH Water Product's parent company.   "The Acsys team partnered with us throughout the entire design and implementation process and we were very pleased with the results."

The CD-ROM makes instant pool care product and dosage recommendations for consumers based on their pool statistics and water test results.  In addition,  the CD-ROM stores test information and analyzes trend results to assist consumers in developing proactive pool care plans.

"The project achieved its main goal of making it easy for customers to care for their pools," said Acsys Design Services Manager Randy Giarnella.  "One of the challenges of the project was positioning the tools in a way that reinforced the client's brand, while presenting them in a fun, easy to use format.  Our design team rose to the challenge and developed an icon-driven interface that evokes feelings of summer-time days spent around the pool, which is what Arch HTH is all about."

Based on the success of the CD-ROM, Arch HTH plans to work with Acsys on a wide range of future marketing and development initiatives.
