Acsys, Inc. Partners with Bristol Hospital to Create High Value Internet Experience

Acsys, Inc., a full service consulting firm that helps organizations achieve their business goals using Web technologies, today announced that Bristol Hospital, a full-service health care institution providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for the greater Bristol, CT area, have partnered to create a high value Internet experience that gives Bristol Hospital the ability to maintain their own content while providing a high branding appeal and an intuitive layout. In addition, the new Web site will be designed to call greater attention to the hospital's six areas of expertise -diagnostics imaging, orthopedics, maternity, pain management, oncology, gastroenterology and endoscopy.

"We are very excited at the prospect of having a new Web site that better articulates the hospital's areas of expertise," said Mary Pat Caputo Director of Public Relations at Bristol Hospital.  "Acsys is not only developing a new Web identity, but is enabling our staff to be self sufficient by providing us with the tools to easily maintain our content, without having to engage in any specialized training."

A key component of the development process was incorporating a tool that allowed non-technical Hospital staff with the ability to perform routine Web site content updates. By doing so, Acsys is able to provide authorized users with the ability to add, delete, and modify text or publish their changes to the Web site without needing any programming or design skills, thereby eliminating content management costs for the hospital.

"With a lot of competition in the marketplace, it was important to place a special emphasis on establishing the overall brand of the site, one that is compelling and clearly outlines the core practice areas," said Rob Grant, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Acsys, Inc. "Our goal was to create a user-friendly Web site for not only site visitors, but for those people that will be maintaining the content on a daily, weekly or monthly basis."

The new Bristol Hospital site is slated to go live in December 2005.
