Acsys SmartForms Helps Connecticut Public Broadcasting Win Web Award

02.03.03

The Connecticut Public Broadcasting Web site was named to the prestigious "Web 100" by the Hartford Courant's CTnow portal. In issuing the award, which recognizes outstanding Connecticut Web sites, jurors cited the ease with which users can pledge financial support for CPTV and WNPR, the two primary subsidiaries of Connecticut Public Broadcasting. The pledge form was designed and built by Acsys, which continues to host and maintain the highly successful application.

"If there's anything better than winning an award ourselves, it's helping a client to win an award," said Acsys president Stan Valencis. "Connecticut Public Broadcasting has been very proactive about making it easy for people to pledge their support--and about reducing administrative costs so pledged dollars are directed to programming and other high-value areas. Connecticut Public Broadcasting certainly deserves this award, and we're very pleased that Acsys has been able to provide the supporting technology."

SmartForms, part of the Acsys SiteManager suite of applications, lets non-technical people gather, route, and manage information collected from their Web sites. Since all SiteManager applications are hosted on an Acsys server and accessed from a Web browser, users can easily manage their Web sites without installing or learning special software. Other Acsys Site Manager modules include HotSpots for content management, News Manager for Web publication of press releases and other news, and SiteStats for server utilization monitoring.
