Acsys Announces New Site Vulnerability Protection Service

07.28.03

Acsys has recently partnered with a third party intrusion detection expert to introduce a Site Vulnerability Protection Service (SVPS) to its hosting clients.  The new service conducts quarterly security audits to help ensure that the latest security measures are in place to guard client sites against third party attacks.

Each SVPS audit detects potential security weaknesses by performing thousands of tests on all major areas of a Web site's operating system and infrastructure.  As part of the service, Acsys reviews each audit, and corrects any detected vulnerabilities.  Once the process is complete, Acsys produces a summary report containing an overview of each identified vulnerability and its severity, an explanation of associated security risks, and a description of corrective action taken by Acsys.

"As more organizations bring their businesses on-line, there is an increased need to protect sensitive customer data," said Acsys President Stan Valencis. "While our hosting platform has maintained impeccable security levels for the past six years, SVPS offers our clients added assurance that the latest security measures are in place to keep their sites safe from unwanted intrusions".

The summary report generated through SVPS is of particular value to financial institutions who must comply with regulator requirements.  Information gathered through SVPS and contained in the report can be used to address the requests of federal and state examiners, and to achieve GLBA compliance.
